Filmed over a period of five years in Cambodia, Lotus Sports Club is an inspiring coming-of-age story centred on Leak, a teenage trans man who plays football for the Kampong Chhnang U21 women‘s team, and Pa Vann, the coach and father figure for Leak and other LGBTQ+ players on the team.
After the screening a panel discussion with Fairplay and their Initiative „Unser Spiel für Menschenrechte“ will take place.

Cairo, 25 January 2013: On the second anniversary of the revolution, women in Tahrir Square are subjected to numerous acts of sexualised violence. With camera in hand, which also serves as self-protection, director Samaher Alqadi documents the growing rebellion of women in her country.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Özben Önal (Moderation), Amina Reifenauer, and Layla Ahmed.
In the framework of this event the exhibition „Bunker 16 – Im Bunker…“ by Florian Nitsch will open at Brunnenpassage.
